Hi,
I’m Nicky. I like to sing and eat hummus. I’m a singer/songwriter from New Jersey. I grew up in a musical family. My Dad might as well have been the 5th member of the Beatles. I was 7 years old when I first recorded music. You know how people send out holiday cards every year? Instead, my family recorded and sent out Christmas CDs to our family and friends. When I was 14, I taught myself how to play piano and guitar and began songwriting. I wrote throughout high school, which led me to study music in college. I fell in love with creating.
Ever since I was young, I have always felt that I was put on this earth to offer hope. I will continue striving to be a light through my music and in everything I do. Sometimes when I write songs, they flow out of me so quickly that it feels like I’m not the one writing them. It’s almost like I am a portal that is being used to bring them into the world.
We all crave connection, but I know at times it can be hard to feel connected to one another. I believe that music has the power to unite us together despite our differences. So many of us are searching for something more. We want to change who we are, when in reality our very purpose is to embrace what makes us different. Everything we go through in life shapes us into who we are meant to be. This is who I am and I believe your eyes and ears found me for a reason.
